The scientific basis of seismically resistant construction is being improved
21 One of the main
priorities of the state policy of Turkmenistan is the comprehensive development
of domestic science and the effective use of its achievements in
the country’s economy, building up the intellectual potential of society. The
transformation strategy, developed under the leadership of President of Turkmenistan pays considerable attention to improving the material and technical base of
scientific research.Enormous funds
are allocated by the government for these
purposes. Purposeful work is underway to re-equip the base of scientific
research and quite a lot of experience
has been accumulated in organizing such work. Thanks to the special attention
of the head of state, priority areas in Turkmenistan have been the development
of scientific areas related to the development of the oil and gas complex, research in the field of energy, medicine, natural sciences
and humanities, economics, communications, especially in the field of
development of modern communication technologies and automation of production.
The widespread introduction of advanced achievements of scientific and
technologies in modern urban planning, the laying of roads and overpasses
contributed to the creation of a unique architectural appearance of our cities
and villages.Along with the implementation of unique construction
projects, special attention is paid to the systematic work to reduce seismic
risks in the seismically dangerous zones of Turkmenistan , to determine the
sustainability of buildings and structures. As world experience shows,
earthquake- resistant construction is so far the only protection against the
effects of earthquakes. The guarantee of the sustainability of buildings and
structures is a guarantee of the safety of people’s lives.Today , as a
result of the paternal care of our national leader, great opportunities are
created for the younger generation to be able to receive modern education,
engage in science, and improve their professional level.
